DRW is a diversified trading firm with over 3 decades of experience bringing sophisticated technology and exceptional people together to operate in markets around the world. We value autonomy and the ability to quickly pivot to capture opportunities, so we operate using our own capital and trading at our own risk.

Headquartered in Chicago with offices throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Asia, we trade a variety of asset classes including Fixed Income, ETFs, Equities, FX, Commodities and Energy across all major global markets. We have also leveraged our expertise and technology to expand into three non-traditional strategies: real estate, venture capital and cryptoassets.

We operate with respect, curiosity and open minds. The people who thrive here share our belief that it’s not just what we do that matters–it's how we do it. DRW is a place of high expectations, integrity, innovation and a willingness to challenge consensus.

We are seeking a Technical Product Manager (TPM) with experience supporting software development teams and a background in business or business systems analysis. Embedded within a subset of our Development and Operations teams, you’ll keep engineers focused on delivering high-value work by managing intake, roadmap and sprint prioritization, requirements gathering, and stakeholder relationships. You’ll bridge business needs and technical execution—turning vision into prioritized, executable plans and ensuring initiatives advance with confidence.

What you’ll do

Intake & Prioritization:

  • Manage intake of new initiatives: capture and document requirements, review requirements against existing business rules, assess business impact and value, clarify desired timelines, and determine alignment and feasibility.
  • Define and own the team roadmap in collaboration with both team lead and product owners: set scope, milestones, and prioritize the backlog in accordance with organizational processes.
  • Communicate prioritization decisions clearly and transparently; conduct impact analyses when priorities compete and reset stakeholder expectations accordingly.

Cross-Functional Relationship Management:

  • Build trusted partnerships with stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party partners to drive alignment and collaboration.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations with data-driven insights or clearly articulated assumptions when data is limited.
  • Communicate opportunities, risks, and decision points to product stakeholders as appropriate.

Execution & Delivery Management:

  • Maintain readiness during delivery by tracking and resolving blockers, coordinating dependencies, and confirming requirements remain valid.
  • Manage delivery in environments without formal Project Management coverage, coordinating risks, communications, and accountability across teams.
  • Track execution with available metrics; proactively adjust timelines to maintain delivery confidence, working with stakeholders and project managers as needed.

Portfolio Visibility & Risk Management:

  • Maintain a clear view of current work, near-term priorities, and long-term initiatives to support strategic planning and timely decision making.
  • Identify risks to upcoming milestones through workload management and/or velocity tracking; develop and implement mitigation plans as needed.

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years as a Technical Product Manager, Technical Program Manager, or equivalent supporting software development teams and projects.
  • Background in business analysis or business systems analysis, with proven experience evaluating business requirements against business rules, system logic, and data models to ensure data integrity and system consistency.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate intake, manage competing priorities, and lead teams through sprint prioritization based on cross-product priorities and agreed upon milestones or deliverables.
  • Proficient in Agile methodologies and tooling, with strong data literacy and a practical understanding of data constraints to inform requirement decisions and stakeholder discussions.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills; comfortable communicating and working with business and technology leadership.
  • Ability to work with empathy, influence without formal authority, and resolve conflicts through structured decision making.

The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $180,000 depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set. The position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.  In addition, DRW offers a comprehensive suite of employee benefits including group medical, pharmacy, dental and vision insurance, 401k (with discretionary employer match), short and long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance, health savings accounts, and flexible spending accounts.
