Your Purpose
Your role is pivotal in operating, analyzing, and monitoring SPEI transactions, ensuring strict compliance with regulations and delivering seamless experiences to our users. As the SPEI Ops Analyst, you will be trusted with critical responsibilities that safeguard our users’ funds and the stability of our operations.

To SPEI Operations Manager.
Who You Are
- Mexican or Mexican resident, based in Mexico City, with full availability to work on-site.
- 2+ years of experience in Operations, Treasury, Accounting as an Analyst or similar role in Financial Institutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Administration, or similar.
- Handling of payment systems like SPEI, CODI, DIMO, SPID, or Transfers, and knowledge of payment platforms from Praxis, LGEC or similar, as well as a good understanding of the Mexican Financial System.
- Proven expertise in SPEI operations and regulations (certifications, audits, compliance rules) and an active e.firma.
- Comfortable working under pressure, keeping calm and precise even when things get intense.
- Accountable and dependable, with a strong sense of ownership of responsibilities and outcomes.
- Collaborative by nature, great at building trust and working closely with teammates and cross-functional areas.
- Detail-oriented and precise, with a natural obsession for getting things right.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Access, SQL, Looker, or similar).
- Strategic thinker, adept at using metrics and data for decision-making, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and propose effective solutions.
- Highly disciplined with a sense of urgency and customer-centric mindset, committed to daily processes and continuous improvement.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Knowledge of the fintech or broader financial industry is a plus.
What You Will Do
As a SPEI Ops Analyst, you will take direct ownership of Bitso’s MXN daily operations, ensuring smooth, compliant, and precise execution. This is a critical role that guarantees continuity of service during weekends and peak times — you will be the backbone that keeps our users’ funds safe and flowing.
In this role, you will:

- Be the weekend guardian of operations, working Wednesday to Monday to secure seamless availability of our MXN ramps, with special attention to Saturday and Sunday continuity.
- Monitor and safeguard the connection to SPEI.
- Reconcile SPEI reports vs. client databases for both operational and accounting purposes.
- Operate, analyze, and monitor the daily flow of MXN operations, attending to incidents or outages by providing fast and effective operational support.
- Report balances and execute internal transactions related to SPEI, instructed by treasury, business areas, and clients.
- Partner with internal teams (engineering, legal, compliance, customer support) and external stakeholders (Banco de México, CNBV, auditors) to resolve issues and keep operations running flawlessly.
- Execute SPEI certifications and maintenance activities with precision and accountability.
- Provide timely, accurate, and human responses to operational requests.
- Collaborate on SPEI projects and contribute to process improvements that increase resilience, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Expand your scope by supporting additional payment operations when needed, strengthening your expertise and serving as a backup to ensure operational continuity.
