The Impact You’ll Make
We are looking for a Project Coordinator for Data Labeling Operations with a specialized focus on Colombia. This role will be responsible for coordinating and executing data labeling projects, with emphasis on Colombian identity documents and fraud detection use cases. The ideal candidate will serve as our local presence in Colombia, supporting both remote and on-site operations at our Bogotá office.
Primary responsibility for all labeling initiatives related to Colombian clients and Colombian identity documents (ID cards, driver's licenses, passports)
What You’ll Own & Drive
Project Coordination & Task Assignment
- Assign and coordinate data labeling tasks and projects across the labeling team
- Manage project timelines, priorities, and deliverables for Colombia-focused initiatives
- Coordinate BAU (Business as Usual) labeling operations, OCR labeling, and specialized fraud detection projects in general. (volume management)
- Lead complex labeling initiatives including Regular Fraud Labeling (RFL), antifraud analysis, and Fake ID detection for Colombian documents
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Colombia-specific labeling requests from clients
- Authority to design, implement, and improve labeling methodologies for Colombian use cases
Ontology Development & Process Improvement
- Create and maintain labeling ontologies and taxonomies, with particular expertise in Colombian identity documents (cédulas de ciudadanía versions 2000, 2020, foreign IDs, etc.)
- Design specialized labeling methodologies for Colombian fraud patterns and document security features
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Interface with Fraud, Analytics, ML, and Customer Success teams on Colombia-specific initiatives
- Develop and update labeling protocols for new document types, fraud vectors, and customer requirements
- Continuously improve existing labeling processes to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Document best practices and create training materials for Colombian document-specific labeling
Quality Assurance & Performance Management
- Conduct regular QA exercises to ensure labeling quality and consistency
- Monitor labeler performance metrics and provide feedback for improvement
- Validate labeling results, particularly for high-stakes fraud cases in Colombia
- Implement and track quality control measures specific to Colombian document labeling
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of labeling activities for reporting purposes
- Monthly confusion matrices, fraud reports, QA assessments, and ontology documentation specifically for the Colombian market
- Document labeling results and findings in Excel workbooks, SharePoint, and internal tracking systems
- Prepare monthly reports on fake ID detection, fraud trends, and labeling metrics for Colombian operations
Local Presence & Stakeholder Management
- Provide on-site support at our Bogotá office as needed to maintain operational presence in Colombia
- Coordinate with Colombian clients and internal teams regarding labeling requirements
- Build relationships with local labeling team members and provide in-person support when required
- Represent the Data Labeling team in Colombia-related meetings and initiatives

Your Background
- 2-3 years of experience in project coordination, operations, or data annotation/labeling
- Deep understanding of Colombian identity documents, including security features, versions, and common fraud patterns
- Experience with fraud detection, document verification, or identity validation
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, data analysis, and report generation
- Experience with data quality assurance and performance metrics
- Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills
Technical Knowledge
- Understanding of labeling ontologies and taxonomy development
- Familiarity with OCR (Optical Character Recognition) validation
- Knowledge of confusion matrices and ML model evaluation concepts
- Experience with SQL for data extraction (desirable)
- Familiarity with tools like SharePoint, Notion, or similar collaboration platforms (might add label studio here)
Soft Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication in Spanish and English (native or fluent)
- Strong problem-solving abilities and process improvement mindset
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (remote + occasional on-site)
- Team player with ability to collaborate across distributed teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Colombian fraud landscape and trends in identity verification
- Experience working with clients in financial services, fintech, or banking sectors
- Understanding of biometric verification systems and liveness detection
- Familiarity with antifraud concepts such as ID spoof, tamper detection, and document alteration
- Background in data science, analytics, or machine learning operations
