We're looking for a Product Owner to drive the strategy and execution for Capital.com's core digital asset infrastructure: Custody, Wallets, and Staking functionality. You will be an expert on these critical flows, working under the guidance of the Product Director for Digital Assets. You will collaborate daily with a multi-disciplinary team and key stakeholders across Compliance, Legal, Engineering, Security, and external Vendors to deliver mission-critical, secure, and compliant infrastructure.

This is a high-impact role focused on the core foundation of our crypto offering, requiring strong execution, domain knowledge, and the ability to navigate complexity across compliance and user flows.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the roadmap, requirements, and execution backlog for products focused on custody, staking, and wallet infrastructure.
  • Balance the needs of global users, internal ops, risk, compliance, and local regulatory requirements for your domain.
  • Prioritize features based on commercial value, risk, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment for custody, staking, and settlement flows.
  • Deliver stable, scalable systems for core crypto workflows — deposits, withdrawals, conversions, staking, and custody.
  • Oversee development of robust APIs powering our white-label infrastructure for your product area.
  • Launch tools and dashboards for operations, compliance, and finance teams to manage and monitor custody and wallet activity.
  • Collaborate daily with Engineering, Compliance, Customer Support, Back Office, and Risk to deliver working software.
  • Translate requirements into clear specs and collaborate on sprint planning and releases.
  • Work closely with vendors (e.g., custody providers) to integrate securely and effectively.
  • Map full user journeys for crypto deposits, withdrawals, and staking flows and optimize for speed, clarity, and resilience.
  • Own metrics like conversion, latency, drop-off, failed flows, and end-user satisfaction for core wallet functions.
  • Work with our support team and UX to iterate on what’s not working — fast.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in product management, with a track record of launching and scaling complex products.
  • Experience delivering infrastructure products in crypto, fintech, or payments.
  • A solid technical grasp of crypto custody, liquidity, key management, blockchain analytics, on/off ramps/deposits/withdrawals.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional squads across multiple time zones.
  • Strong understanding of product development cycles, agile planning, and stakeholder communication.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience integrating or managing third-party tools like Fireblocks, staking service providers, or KYB/KYC providers.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory requirements, including AML/KYT and Travel Rule compliance, especially as they relate to custodial wallet features.
  • Regulatory product delivery experience in the UK or EU.
  • B2B2C / white-label product experience.
  • Excellent documentation skills — you can write a spec or a comms plan that actually gets read
